Summer is a perfect season for learning through play. At SCA Childcare, we encourage experiences that spark curiosity and build…
At SCA Childcare, we believe young children learn best through hands-on experiences, guided play, and consistent encouragement.
This EYFS Activities and Learning category has been created to support both parents and early years professionals with useful ideas.
We share simple ways to explore the Early Years Foundation Stage, using everyday materials and natural curiosity.
From messy play to number games, you will find content that helps children learn while having fun.
Each post links to a clear area of learning and explains how the activity supports development.
We also provide seasonal suggestions, indoor and outdoor ideas, and tips for adapting play to suit different ages and needs.
In many cases, small adjustments turn ordinary moments into valuable learning experiences.
For example, snack time can support counting, colours, or early conversation skills.
We understand that not everyone has time to plan structured activities every day.
That is why our posts are practical, flexible, and easy to follow.
Many of them include example questions that help develop language, thinking, and confidence.
In addition, we highlight how routines such as dressing, tidying, and storytelling support independence and understanding.
Our advice is based on experience from real early years settings and reflects what works in practice.
You will also find printable resources, book suggestions, and ways to keep learning fresh and enjoyable.
With the help of our EYFS Activities and Learning posts, you can create enriching opportunities every day.
We are here to help you feel confident as you support early learning in fun and meaningful ways.
This category offers inspiration, support, and structure for everyone working with children in their early years.
